Description
Vintage George Ibbotson Ltd double edged pruning saw with what looks to be a hardwood sheath. Now here’s an unusual one! It’s in pretty order but obvious used condition. Saw has been lightly cleaned, oiled and plate is stamped ‘GEORGE IBBOTSON & CO SHEFFIELD 1952’ and with ’G👑R’ (partially obscured).
Complete with its original sheath, robustly made of hardwood with large copper riveted construction and securing strap intact. Sheath is also stamped identically to the saw plate. The double edged saw plate measures 17” Inches in length and teeth appear good but it is being offered in an unsharpened condition. Measures 22” inches in total length. Nice, unusual thing and maybe one for the collector given the markings.
