Description
Nice artisan example of a vintage spill plane in good order for it’s age. Most probably made by it’s owner, a spill plane I believe, is the only plane whereby the “waste product” (shaving) is the desired result of the work. Fully working and cuts spills as can be seen. Spills were used to light gas lamps, candles, cigarettes and pipes etc and were often sold in bundles to supplement income.
