Nice example of a Marples Kent Pattern axe. I haven’t seen many to be honest so I don’t think they’re so common. Approx 15 1/2″ in length total, head around 5 1/2″ across with cutting edge of blade around 3 1/2″. Nicely marked Wm Marples and Son, Sheffield, England with Shamrock logo. Lovely tool, all solid and in good order.
