Description
No 2 Hollow Moulding Plane by Routledge of Birmingham. In as found condition, wear commensurate with age. One or two old dead worm holes on right cheek which also has some nice detail. Untouched but I can lightly clean and wax if so required. Richard Routledge’s works were situate at 23, Bull Street, Birmingham 1871 -1881 and subsequently 64, Bull Street until 1924 when they re-located to 12 & 14, Worcester Street until 1944. The mark looks to be one of his earlier ones which would put him at 23, Bull Street.
